Go Bowling 400 Drives Awareness and Interest in Bowling

Once again, the Go Bowling 400 at Kansas Speedway was a highlight of Mother’s Day weekend. The NASCAR race provided a national spotlight on bowling through the telecast on FS1 and MRN radio, as well as to the thousands of fans attending the race. Congrats to Martin Truex Jr. for his victory in the Go Bowling 400.

Martin Truex Jr. took home his second NASCAR checkered flag at the Go Bowling 400 May 13. He celebrated in true racing style with a burnout, Pin Man, his racing team and the Monster Energy girls in Victory Lane.

Throughout the weekend, fans flocked to the Go Bowling Fan Experience Tent at Kansas Speedway where they bowled on two fully operational, regulation-size lanes. At the interactive fan exhibit, fans received free samples from Sixlets and qualified to win seats in the No. 17 Go Bowling Ford Fusion Pit Box. Participants also had a chance to win a VIP Trip to Racing’s Big Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway this fall.

Thousands of fans took to the Go Bowling regulation bowling lanes on-site at Kansas Speedway, having a great time with their friends and family. More than 7,000 boxes of Sixlets, the official candy partner of bowling, were given out to race weekend attendees. PBA star Chris Barnes was on-hand to bowl with fans and throw some impressive trick shots as well.

In addition to the fun activities and cool prizes, a full compliment of celebrities were on hand to hit the lanes, including comedian and Go Bowling 400 Grand Marshal Larry the Cable Guy, Go Bowling driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., driver Kasey Kahne and PBA star Chris Barnes.

Star-struck fans had a great time at the Go Bowling 400 Fan Experience Tent as race grand marshal Larry the Cable Guy, Go Bowling No. 17 driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr, driver Kasey Kahne and driver Gray Gaulding all came by the tent to greet fans and bowl a few frames.

Congratulations also to No. 17 Go Bowling Ford Fusion driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for another stellar performance. We look forward to seeing Ricky wearing the Go Bowling colors again in Michigan in August.

The weekend resulted in tremendous exposure for bowling, a sport played by 67 million people each year.

Race grand marshal Larry the Cable Guy took to the lanes in his classic comedic fun-style.

BPAA president Nancy Schenk presented the FS1 broadcast team with their own bowling balls. Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip and Mike Joy are ready to hit the lanes after the race!

PBA pro Chris Barnes entertained the fans on the lanes, took pictures and signed autographs all weekend.

It was a great weekend to Go Bowling at the Kansas Speedway!

Go Bowling No. 17 driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. gave bowling fans a personal Facebook Live tour of his hauler before the race.

Pin Man had a great time interacting with fans all weekend, especially during the infield pre-race concert featuring Parmalee.

Hats off to Kansas Speedway for a fantastic racing weekend at the 2017 Go Bowling 400 - now, let’s Go Bowling!
