PWBA Tour champion Lindsay Boomershine and NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger capped off the inaugural PBA All-Star Weekend by winning the Go Bowling PBA NASCAR Invitational at Phoenix Raceway.

Four doubles teams featuring one professional bowler and one NASCAR driver took to a pair of lanes installed inside The Barn at Phoenix Raceway.

Competing in the baker doubles format, Boomershine and Allmendinger first defeated Daria Pajak and Daniel Hemric, then defending champions Kyle Troup and Aric Almirola to win the event.

PBA Hall of Famer Mike Aulby, who ranks ninth all-time with 29 career PBA Tour titles, returned to the lanes in dramatic fashion. Aulby won the Checkered Flag Clash, a one-ball roll-off competition, against eight NASCAR drivers and FOX talent.

Aulby outlasted former Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne and FOX NASCAR analyst Phil Parsons in the final rounds.

Boomershine and Allmendinger’s victory spoiled a Troup sweep of All-Star Weekend.

On Friday, Troup, Darren Tang and Sean Rash of Team Storm won the PBA All-Star Skills Showdown.

Troup then led his team of legend Walter Ray Williams Jr. and rising star Cortez Schenck to the PBA Legacy Cup: Legends and Rising Stars title on Saturday.

Troup, who is the only player to have won multiple PBA Tour titles so far this season, also threw the winning strike in Saturday’s Battle of the Ages match, which pitted five current all-stars against five PBA Hall of Famers.

Even though Sunday’s event wasn’t a PBA Tour title event, the former PBA Player of the Year sought to defend a PBA win for the first time in his career. Troup will have another opportunity to do so later this season at the PBA Tour Finals.

With the first-ever PBA All-Star Weekend in the books the PBA Tour is set to resume the 2024 campaign.

The PBA Jr. National Championships, featuring finalists Kayla Starr, Gianna Brandolino, Dmitri Richardson and Ernesto Reynoso, airs Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern on FS1. Boomershine will compete in that event as well as part of a youth-pro doubles match.

The USBC Masters, the third major of the 2024 PBA Tour, begins next week in Las Vegas. Qualifying gets underway Monday, March 25 with the finals taking place Sunday, March 31 at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Anthony Simonsen will aim for his third consecutive Masters crown.

Round 10 of the PBA Elite League presented by Snickers will also take place in Las Vegas, airing Saturday, March 30 at 7 p.m. ET on FS1. The New Jersey KingPins, who just added Schenck to the squad, will take on the Go Bowling Dallas Strikers, while Las Vegas’ own High Rollers will face off against the defending champion Waco Wonders.
