For the second year in a row, the sport of bowling took part in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® with a display of larger than life pins, bowling shoes, and a bowling ball!

The Go Bowling “balloonicles”, which are vehicle / balloon hybrids, made their way down the 2.5 mile parade route that passed by Central Park, Radio City Music Hall and down 6th Avenue to Macy’s flagship location in Herald Square, representing the bowling industry in front of an estimated 3 million parade attendees as well as over 50 million viewers at home.

“It’s a tremendous opportunity for the sport of bowling as well as the millions of participants nationwide,” said John Harbuck, president of Strike Ten Entertainment. “We are honored to be a part of this incredible holiday celebration again this year, and we hope that everyone get’s out there and bowls with their family this holiday season”.

NBC televised the parade for the 72nd straight year, airing the event as a part of its TODAY Show broadcast featuring hosts Savanah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker.

Go Bowling will be returning in next year’s 94th Macy’s Day Parade, so keep an eye out for those iconic balloonicles once again!
