But if you are interested in improving your game, summer is a great time to practice. A summer of practice will allow you to show improvement next season, or take on the challenge of your first league. Below are a few tips from Go Bowling for how to make the most of your practice time. Make a Commitment Whether its bowling every Tuesday night or just making time when you can, commit to practicing and stick to it. It is easy to get distracted in the summer, so come up with a plan! Know Good Form When You See It You don’t even have to be at the bowling center for this one. Spend time watching videos to identify what good form looks like. This way, you’ll know what you’re trying to replicate when at the lanes. Break It Down Don’t just head to the lanes and bowl a few games…break down your approach and work on specific aspects of your game individually. Focus on your arm swing for a few frames, then evaluate your follow through, then look at your alignment and aiming. Take these tips, hit the bowling center this summer and work towards reaching your next goal on the lanes!
