NATIONAL BOWLING DAY AND GO BOWLING AT THE GLEN NASCAR RACE ACTIVATIONS USHER IN A NEW BOWLING SEASON

National Bowling Day’s celebration extended to the end of September with ‘FOX & Friends’ appearance and Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR race telecast on USA Network.

ARLINGTON, Texas — National Bowling Day was celebrated on August 10th but due to inclement weather Go Bowling’s exclusive “FOX & Friends” live broadcast segments were rescheduled to August 31st. To keep the excitement alive, we're extending the National Bowling Day celebration and our Free Game offer through the end of September.

National Bowling Day provides the perfect platform for those who love bowling to help raise awareness for their sport and provides a great way to bring consumers to the lanes and celebrate the passion of the 67 million-plus people who go bowling every year to reunite and have fun with their friends and families.

On a national level, there will be two major activations in August and September:

Exclusive “FOX & Friends” live broadcast segments on the FOX News Channel on Aug. 31 from 6-10 a.m. Eastern. Go Bowling will have BPAA President Kevin Krauss on hand to start the National Bowling Day Celebration and invite everyone in America to Go Bowling Free by visiting GoBowling.com to download a Free Game of Bowling coupon. Then, Nancy Schenk, Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) Chairperson, will make an on-air $100,000 donation to benefit Patriot Point, a 293-acre rehab and recovery retreat on the Maryland shore that serves veterans and active-duty service men and women. Professional bowler Norm Duke and popular youth bowler Malia Briggs will be on hand to help the program’s hosts improve their skills on the regulation bowling lanes that will be installed on the FOX Square in Manhattan outside the FOX News Studios. “FOX & Friends” is the top-rated cable news morning program reaching millions of consumers every day. Go Bowling’s National Bowling Day appearance each year helps build top-of-mind awareness for bowling.

The Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR race on Sept. 15, will be broadcast LIVE on USA Network beginning at 3 p.m. Eastern. The Go Bowling Experience Tent will be set up in the Watkins Glen Fan Midway, offering everyone attending the race an amazing experience on the custom-built regulation lanes that will be installed exclusively for this event. To keep fans engaged and having fun, Go Bowling will host numerous guest celebrities, including the Joe Gibbs Racing Team driver Aric Almirola who will drive the #20 Go Bowling Toyota Supra in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race on Saturday.

Also making an appearance and bowling with fans will be the driver of the Kaulig Racing #13 Go Bowling Chevy Camaro, AJ Allmendinger who will be competing in the Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday. Representing the men’s and women’s PBA and PWBA Tours will be Kyle Sherman, Brad Miller, and fan favorite Verity Crawley. Other to be named NASCAR celebrities will also make appearances at the Go Bowling Experience Tent to meet and interact with fans.

In addition, Go Bowling supports National Bowling Day and the Go Bowling at The Glen race with numerous local promotions and programs that drive families and friends to their local bowling centers around the country, generating top-of-mind awareness for bowling and elevating excitement for the sport to a fever pitch.
