Bowling took center stage on national television over the weekend of August 10, celebrating National Bowling Day on the Saturday telecast of FOX & Friends, one of cable TV’s highest rated morning shows. Hosts Pete Hegseth, Jedediah Bila, Dean Cain, and Rick Reichmuth were joined by PWBA star Rocio Restrepo and hall of famer Randy Pedersen for multiple segments during the 4-hour programming block. Even BPAA President Randy Thompson stopped by to present commemorative bowling pins to the FOX & Friends hosts! Rocio and Randy not only spent the morning showing off their skills on the 2 regulation-sized bowling lanes set up on the FOX Square, but walked the FOX & Friends hosts through their own bowling techniques, providing helpful tips and tricks to improve their game. Even the Go Bowling Pin Car made an appearance! The fully customized bowling pin on wheels was on display for anyone passing by the FOX Square throughout the morning. The segments heavily focused on the promotion of National Bowling Day, encouraging consumers to download a free game of bowling on gobowling.com, redeemable at participating centers through the month of August. “We always have a great time out here with the team at FOX”, said Randy Thompson, President of the BPAA. “The exposure for the sport is incredible, and we hope it will encourage everyone to download a free game at gobowling.com and go bowling!”.
